Once you join, though, there are many different ways to volunteer and contribute. Here are four paths that most new volunteers find rewarding and get them involved quickly.

Typical Volunteer Tasks: The Communications Department welcomes volunteers for various work groups. The City of Sedona Parks & Recreation Department offers a wide variety of opportunities for community engagement that encourage stewardship of our shared parks resources, including special event support (setup before events, a wide range of support roles during events, cleanup after events), Park Ambassador (cleanups, park steward), Park Ranger (uniformed parks representative to assist park users, residents, and visitors). Typical volunteer opportunities include a wide range of special event tasks, cleanups, program support, and general community assistance. The Sedona Police Department welcomes volunteers with or without previous law enforcement experience. City Commissions occasionally have vacancies and residents are encouraged to apply. The Sedona Trails Pathways System (ST&PS) needs volunteers for trail maintenance and various trail projects. The Sustainability Department welcomes volunteers to help make c
