Typical Volunteer Tasks: Disaster Services and Service to Armed Forces are the two most used by our volunteers in our Northern Arizona Chapter. Once you join, though, there are many different ways to volunteer and contribute. Here are four paths that most new volunteers find rewarding and get them involved quickly.

Greeting visitors, answering phones, directing inquiries, assisting with sign-ups for classes and events, general office tasks, handling art sales or donation drives, helping with setup/teardown, registration, ushering, or managing logistics for events

Typical Volunteer Tasks:
The Communications Department welcomes volunteers for various work groups.
The City of Sedona Parks & Recreation Department offers a wide variety of opportunities for community engagement that encourage stewardship of our shared parks resources, including special event support (setup before events, a wide range of support roles during events, cleanup after events), Park Ambassador (cleanups, park steward), Park Ranger (uniformed parks representative to assist park users, residents, and visitors). Typical volunteer opportunities include a wide range of special event tasks, cleanups, program support, and general community assistance.
The Sedona Police Department welcomes volunteers with or without previous law enforcement experience.
City Commissions occasionally have vacancies and residents are encouraged to apply.
The Sedona Trails Pathways System (ST&PS) needs volunteers for trail maintenance and various trail projects.
